How to create a Custom Splash
A custom splash page is a transitional page where you can add a banner and a logo along with a message to represent your brand or company. When creating a short link, you can assign the page to your short URL — visitors will briefly see your branded page before being redirected to their destination.
What is a custom splash page?
A custom splash page is a transitional page where you can add a banner and a logo along with a message to represent your brand or company. When creating a short link, you will be able to assign the page to your short URL. Users who visit your URL will briefly see the page before being redirected to their destination.
Use it for client previews, branded ad redirects, agency hand-offs, or anywhere you want the visitor to see your brand for a moment before they reach the final page.
Create a Custom Splash
- Select the Custom Splash option from your left menu.
- Click on the Create a Custom Splash button.
The Custom Splash form, field by field
All of the following information is required to publish a Custom Splash:
- Name of the splash — an internal label so you can find this splash later in your list.
- Waiting counter (seconds) — how long the splash page is shown before redirecting. Typical values are 3–5 seconds.
- Link to a website — you may link the splash to a website (optional but useful if you want the splash itself to be clickable).
- Title — insert a title for the splash. It will be shown on the live version above the message.
- Banner image — see the banner specifications below.
- Avatar image — see the avatar specifications below.
- Message — insert your message to be displayed on the splash screen. Keep it short — visitors only see it for a few seconds.
Banner image specifications
- Format:
.jpg(not.jpeg— the file extension matters) - Dimensions: 980px × 300px
- Maximum size: 500 KB
Do not exceed these specifications. Files that don't match the format, exact dimensions, or size cap will fail to upload or will render incorrectly on the splash page.
Avatar image specifications
- Format:
.jpg(not.jpeg) - Dimensions: 200px × 200px
- Maximum size: 300 KB
Do not exceed these specifications. Same as the banner — exact match required.
Assign the Custom Splash to a link
After the splash is saved, you'll be redirected to the link assignment screen. From there:
- Open the link editor for the short link you want to attach this splash to (or create a new short link).
- In the Redirect dropdown, pick Custom Splash.
- Select your saved splash from the sub-list.
- Save the link.
Visitors who click that short link will now see your branded splash page for the configured number of seconds before being forwarded to the final destination. Each splash you create can be attached to as many short links as you want — so one splash design can serve a whole campaign.
